Flade Church
On the outskirts of Frederikshavn, 105 m above sea level, lies Flade Church. This small, romantic brick church was built in the 13 th century and is the oldest church in Frederikshavn. The porch, however, is from the late medieval period and the chapel was added around 1675. Standing high on the hills of Flade amidst ancient burial mounds from the Bronze Age, Flade Church once served as a navigation mark and lookout post.
